On the eve of 70th Independence day, we had the fortune of celebrating the day at Cellular Jail, Andaman. The jail is known for housing freedom fighters of Indian freedom movement. Once exiled to this jail it was impossible for anyone to escape from the island. It was also infamous for torture and atrocities did for prisoners. A couple of days back I was fortunate to a part of Entrepreneurs delegation whose primary aim was to study latest eco-friendly 
Construction and Demolition ( C&D) technologies. Though the primary objective was to understand the technologies of the Construction industry and sustainable construction methodology, we got the opportunity to understand the cities civic management system as well.
ನಾನು ಅನೇಕ ಬಾರಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಯುವಮೋರ್ಚಾದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಹುತಾತ್ಮರ ಸ್ಮಾರಕ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣದ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪ ಮಾಡಿದಾಗಿನಿಂದ ಈ ಗೊರಟಾ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಭೇಟಿ ವಿಶೇಷವೆಂದೇನೂ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಈ ಬಾರಿ ಗೊರಟಾಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದು ಮೇ ೯ರಂದು. ಈ ಮೇ ೯ಕ್ಕೂ ಗೊರಟಾ ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೂ ವಿಶೇಷವಾದ ನಂಟು. ಗೊರಟಾ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ದಿನವನ್ನಂತೂ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಮರೆಯುವಂತೆಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ಅಂಅನ ನೆನಪು ಬಂದಾ ಕೂಡಲೇ ಅಂದು ಗೊರಟಾ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಜನತೆ ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದ ನೋವು, ಅಂದಿನ ಗೊರಟಾ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಚಿತ್ರಣ ಕಣ್ಣಮುಂದೆ ಹಾದು ಹೋದವು.

ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಯುವ ಮೋರ್ಚಾ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಯುವ ಚೈತನ್ಯ ಯಾತ್ರೆ ಸಂಪನ್ನಗೊಂಡಿದೆ.ಹೊಸ ಅನುಭವವೊಂದನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದ ಈ ಯಾತ್ರೆಯ ಅಭೂತ ಪೂರ್ವ ಯಶಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಪರೋಕ್ಷವಾಗಿ ಕಾರಣರಾದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಹ್ರದಯಪೂರ್ವಕ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು.
